My Baby Shower

Just got out shower pictures back from our photographer Pakalana and I’m just amazed how everything was captured so beautifully 🧡🧡🧡 I am a lover of detail (hence my job 😅) and will cherish these photos forever.

When thinking about my baby shower all I wanted was something that wasn’t too baby themed. We ended up choosing a citrus theme after finding the location at Los Encinos State Historic Park. It has a citrus grove and right away I thought a citrus theme would be neutral and not too babyish. I helped plan a lot of the shower because I love planning parties. If I wasn’t a pediatric dentist I would definitely be an event planner!

Below are some more details shots from the shower. I loved the huge oak tree that gave us shade on this warm day. Our shower was in the middle of the Monarch butterfly migration so butterflies were everywhere, it was magical! Since we were at a park, we did wraps, salads and pasta salad for the food, we played a few games, had a cute bar station and had fun catching up with everyone. One of my favorite parts about the park was the fenced lake. I had a cute kids area with toys/bubbles/coloring books area and brought bread for the kids to feed the ducks. It was adorable. I highly recommend this park for events and families. They even have a museum and the park rangers were fantastic. So grateful and happy with how everything turned out.

Cake is from @plate_and_petal and was so delicious. Florals from @nebellafloral, rentals from @soiree8 and #fantasiapartysupply. Family friends graciously gave us citrus fruit from their own yard and My Dad painted the backdrop for the cake 🧡 I’m so thankful for all our friends and family who helped put everything together and who celebrated from near and far. Our baby boy is already so loved!
