I’m finally showing you a full tour of our little one’s nursery! If you follow me on Instagram, I’ve been sharing bits and pieces of the nursery- you can see them on my story highlights under Baby.
We moved into our apartment soon after we found out we were expecting because I knew I wanted a separate room for a nursery. I started gathering inspo pics from instagram and by following Project Nursery. There are so many cute ideas online.
I also knew from the beginning that I wanted the nursery to be pretty neutral. We went with a blue and cream theme with green accents. I’ll start with my favorite pieces. Everything is linked below
We decided to get a daybed for the nursery so we would have a place to lay if the baby was napping in the nursery and for when we have guests over. When I pictured it I wanted lots of pillows everywhere and a throw blanket. This particular daybed is nice because it has a trundle or pull out bed underneath which we can use if we have extra guests.
My second favorite piece is the tassel sconce! I waited 2 months for this because it was on backorder. I love pom poms and tassels so when I saw this I had to get it. The light is softer than the main light in the room and i think it kinda ties the whole room together.
Our crib was a bit of a splurge but its a three in one that we will be using for a while or even if we have another baby. As for the dresser, we wanted a white one that doubled as a changing table. I’m still trying to decide if I want to change the handles or not- there are a lot of gold, silver and bronze accents but it doesn’t bother me too much yet. We organized the dresser with special dividers which has made it much easier to put the baby clothes away. I used the Kondo method, haha.
I wanted to put something on the walls but wasn’t sure what until I came across these wall decals. They were super easy to put on and they come off very easily if you want to move them. I have been loving this gold mirror trend for a long time and was so happy when we received it from our baby shower registry!
We initially had blinds in the nursery so we got special brackets that go over the blinds in order to be able to hang a rod and curtains. We decided on blackout curtains in case it gets too bright and love how they came out. Our rug also helped pull everything together. We initially placed some special fastening tape underneath it thinking it would help prevent it from bunching up but its still bunching which is frustrating. I think we might need a smaller rug.
I wanted a glider chair and am so happy with the one we got, it was affordable, easy to put together and super comfortable. It didn’t come with an ottoman or leg rest so I found this one at Homegoods. I really wanted one from the Opalhouse line at target but its been out of stock forever.
I wanted to mention one of our favorite items so far, the Wyze camera. It is very inexpensive and great quality. It comes with a free app and works with wifi, you can get notifications for sound and movement. Highly recommend vs a more expensive monitor.
Right now we have the bassinet in our bedroom where baby will sleep. we don’t have too much else in our bedroom and i’m kind of worried LOL. One of my friends mentioned lysol wipes and paper towels so we will put that in our room! What else should I have in our Bedroom?
Overall I’m super happy with the way everything came out and find myself coming to the nursery very often to either lay on the bed or sit in the glider chair. Its my favorite place to be right now. I can’t believe our little one will be here so soon!
